Cupping Therapy

What is Cupping Therapy?

Cupping therapy has its roots in ancient Chinese and Egyptian medicine and has been practiced for thousands of years.  In ancient times, it was used to treat particular lung conditions like pneumonia.  Today, cupping is used to treat many conditions such as pain relief, relaxation, musculoskeletal injuries, and a form of deep-tissue massage.

Cupping therapy involves placing cups on the skin to create a suction and draw blood to or away from a specific area.  This helps facilitate the movement of blood in the muscle tissue.  This if extremely effective in pain management and also is helpful for other conditions such as PMS and certain cases of infertility.

In our practice, we incorporate a complete and thorough assessment followed by a treatment plan that addresses the whole body and not just your physical symptoms.

What our clients are saying...

I would like to commend my acupuncturist, Anne, who I saw today for my treatment. She was attentive and skilled and made me feel most comfortable the entire time I was there. Anne has treated me before for various problems and I am so grateful for her care and understanding. I will surely recommend her to my friends and family.

– M.J. Watkins

Being treated by Anne is more than just needles and pressure points. She is sincere and selfless in her care for me as a client and a person. I am grateful to have her on my side as I continue my recovery from a spinal cord injury
